Speaking of versions: suggestion for upcoming version, make a checkbox to enable or disable installed mods within options menu

Yeah I want to but it is very, very complicated because the mods basically rewrire pocket war code and one file does not equal one mod, so I can just switch on and off files either.

Basically, I just have not come up with a good way to do it.

I like the idea of keeping the original style and making the rebalence optional.

How about an option to select the mods directory...
i.e. default entry = "mods" (\pocketwar\mods)
or your own entry = "mymods" (\pocketwar\mymods)
or blank = no mods.
this would allow easy entry for personalized mod "sets". One could then save their own sets for their various games...

Its not an option but it can be done today. Go into the /metalshard directory and there is a file called pocketwar.mod. This is the root mod file for pocket war. Open it in a text editor and find the line that looks like SUBMODS: "pocketwar/mods/". You can change that to any subdirectory your like and the next time pocketwar is run it will pick up the mods in the other subdirectory.

I could see about changing this to a setting instead that defaults to whatever is in the main .mod file.
