I have 2, yes, 2 Vet. Marine #26. One is in the humvee, the other is on a complete different island.
I, of course, get an error when I try to kick out the one in the humvee saying that unit is already on the map. How did this happen??? :)

Thats not good at all. send me the map so I can see whats going on, plus if you have an older save game that would be great. I have a feeling I'm going to see the two marines number 26 but not have any idea what it was in the past that caused it.

This happened to me also. I had one marine in a chinook and one on map, the had the same name. after the one on the map took a city I could not look inside the chinook anymore.
I believe I wiped out the game files testing the map editor though ;-(

Ken I'm gonna have to kill you for the chinook mod. It's the most popular mod by far and the most troublesome. :)

its not really chinook problems, its a series of problems caused by optimizations between the time you first did the chinook and the 1.0 release.
I'm betting the marine was duplicated during a save game load. That is what is causing the issues. At save game loading time the state the chinook is in (how many units it can hold) vs the state the script has for the chinook is different. That is throwing of a bunch of optimizations I put in that made the assumption that the number of items a unit can transport won't change. Now I am having to run down all the places where I made that assumption and make sure that work if it isn't ture.
Apparently I still missed some place and I'm betting its in the load game code.

I don't have the saved games, but I can tell you that I didn't have any chinooks....
Mine was in the humvee...
