Ok Tully We got the multiplayer to work just fine. but we were playing a xl map so it was a lot of waiting without seeing anyone. We were wondering and figured you are using your site as the server and it is pushing the game to each of us when it is our turn? or is it a direct connect to each other, this does not seem likely since we did not have to input any address and we were both running routers.

we were noticing that the time between turns can take quite a while some times over 7 min from the end of one turn to the start of the other players turn. I supose it is hard to deturning the cause and its main factor is internet traffic on both players machines and server.

The server is pretty quick. Part of it is that the poll instead of the server pushing. This is because the server itself is php based and the multi-player actually works over html. (This allowed me to set up the infrastructure very inexpensively.) Setting number 38 in the pocket war settings file sets the number of seconds between polls. Its default is 300 (five min.) That is because most people tend to not play multi-player in real time. They take a turn then walk away (like playing chess via email.) Change that setting to 20 or 30 and that should take care of the problem.
