I should have 1.5 ready to go in a couple weeks and I will need a couple of people to test it out.
It will have the following:
* improvements to multi-player stability
* map editor
* new scenario / campaign loading screen
At the same time I should be able to roll out the new changes to the website. These include:
* Ability to publish your information to a list of people that want to play multi-player games. This will allow people to more easily find others who want to play.
* Some tweaks to the multi-player game control pages
So if you are interested in trying it out just respond to this thread, and I will let you know when it is ready.

Campaigns aren't going to make it in but scenarios will.
What are scenarios?
Scenarios will let you create a map "template" using the map editor and you can assign a script to the template. There will be a new scenario directory you can drop the scripts and templates into.
There will be a new menu button added to the "new game" menu that will take you to a list of all templates in the scenario directory. When you pick one it will use the template as the map, load it then run the script (if there is one.) From the script you can popup dialogs, adjust units, all the normal things.
There will also be a new callback for that scenario controller script that gets called once before each players turn. This will allow you to modify the game as you play (example you could have reinforcements show up on turn 30 by adding them to the game from the script.)
Using the scripts and maps anyone should be able to build pretty cool scenarios that others can play out.
Now the problem, I won't have time to make any scenarios. Once the code reaches beta state would any of you have time to build some scenarios. *cough* *cough* Ken *cough* *cough*
scenarios should require much less work than a full mod to do.
If I have time I will try and sneak in campaigns. They are not much more work than scenarios, the only difference is another new game button, another directory with scripts in it, and a overarching script that represents the campaign and can load one scenario after another. The cool thing is unlike other games like this the controller script can do anything it wont have to be linear. (For example, you could load the first scenario, if the player wins it could load scenario B, but if the player loses it could load scenario C.) This should allow for some pretty complex campaigns to be built, but thats probably won't be until 2.0.

Do you have an updated map editor.
the last one I use was very buggy.
it only allowed my to lay dirt terrian
and if i put down more then 2 citys game would crash when loaded.

Working on it now. It will be part of the beta.
