This is my 1st post here, so please take my comments with a grain of salt ;)

I like the new mods, but is there a way to limit some of the new units' availability?

I would imagine that some new mod units such as the B2 and Apache should only be manufactured at cities which can produce Dominators and other high-tech vehicles.

I think the F-22 graphic looks like a fitting replacement of the current Dominator. Both look nice, but the F-22 is the premiere high-tech attack aircraft of the modern battlefield.

I guess I could just perform the graphics changes on my PDA, but I would prefer keeping my copy of PocketWar as close-to-vanilla-standard as possible.

Thank you for reading...

I actually like the fact that any city can produce mods.
It's all personal preference, I guess.

I thought of using the F-22 image to replace the Dominator.
That was just one of the images I couldn't stand to see go, though.

You can adjust which cities produce what by altering the mod. Each mod produces two scripts one that defines the unit and one that adds it to cities. If you know javascript you can open up the city file and change which cities can produce it.

BTW I plan on making DWS's F-22 image the dominator (and renaming the dominator to F-22) and taking the current dominator image and making it the scout and renaming that to blackbird.

That's one way to spice things up for Modern War 2.0.
Am thinking an F-15 or F-16 for the new Fighter now..

Wow, never expected such quick responses. =)

DWS: I see your point -- the Dominator's graphics do look nice, even compared to the F-22 =) If anything, perhaps the seahunter could be replaced by the F-22 graphic, and the fighter could be an F-16 or similar main-stream dog-fighter (just personal opinion, nothing more ;)

The F-22's nose might need a slight sharpening/narrowing but otherwise, it looks great.

Lastly, I think the old stealth bomber is a good candidate for an F-117 grahpics update...

The new Fighter will be in Modern War 2.0.
It is an F-16.

I can't really sharpen the nose of the Dominator/Raptor without it looking pretty weird. Same for the F-16.
I realize it would make them both more realistic looking, but I'm limited to an 18x18 pixel unit size. Open the images up in Paint and manipulate them a little yourself to see what I mean. These templates are actually, more than likely, the best representations that can be done under these restrictions. That being said, I won't go as far as to say it can't be done. If you can manage to pull it off, I'd love to have a look.

The SeaHunter was actually bulked up a bit for v1.90 of Modern War.
Send your email address to for an advance copy.

As far as an F-117, I've spent considerable time attempting that (to replace the SBomber). I can't even get as far as a template that I'm satisfied with, though..

If you change the name of the Dominator to "F22" you might also consider changing the name of the Fighter to "F16". I'm sending you a copy of it now.

..Pocket War has an SR-71 Blackbird.

Here is the SR-71 with pointed nose, more realistic version.
