I think I only have about 4 more web updates keys left now. I have the old version on my pc (last one). Can I update it to the new version without having to use a new key? By just copying the files over it?

The license code, code, changed for the new version so it requires a new key, but because of that I reset everyone's accounts when the new version was released. That way you wouldn't have to worry about it.
